Your journey to the mystical land of Tibet begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Gonggar Airport, near Lhasa. Upon arrival, our team will greet and assist you with the transfer to your hotel in Lhasa. As Lhasa sits at an altitude of 3,650 meters, today is reserved for rest and acclimatization. Enjoy your first glimpses of the ancient city, nestled between sacred mountains and the Kyichu River.

Begin your cultural exploration with the majestic Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and spiritual icon of Tibet. Once home to the Dalai Lamas, the palace offers panoramic views, sacred chapels, and a deep insight into Tibetan Buddhism. Continue to Jokhang Temple, the holiest temple in Tibet, and experience the spiritual devotion of pilgrims from across the region. Conclude your day with a walking tour through Barkhor Bazaar, a traditional Tibetan marketplace. In the evening, participate in a Tibetan Family Kitchen class and dinner, complete with traditional costumes and cultural exchange.

Today, dive deeper into Tibetan monastic life. Visit Drepung Monastery, once the world’s largest monastery, home to thousands of monks. Proceed to Sera Monastery, famous for its lively monk debates held in the courtyard. In the afternoon, explore Norbulingka Palace, the summer residence of the Dalai Lama, surrounded by vibrant gardens. In the evening, enjoy the grand theatrical performance of Princess Wencheng, an open-air cultural drama showcasing Tibetan history and folklore.

Set off early for a scenic drive through the Kamba La and Karo La passes. Admire the shimmering turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s holiest lakes. Drive onward to Gyantse to visit the iconic Kumbum Stupa and Pelkor Chode Monastery. The architecture and murals here are among the finest in Tibet. Continue to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city, for overnight stay.

In the morning, explore Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama, renowned for its impressive golden statue of the Future Buddha. Wander through its ancient courtyards and prayer halls. Afterward, drive through dramatic mountain landscapes to reach Shegar, the last town before Everest Base Camp. Overnight at Shegar.

Today is the highlight of your Tibet tour. Drive to Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world, located at 4,980 meters. Marvel at the north face of Mount Everest as you reach the base camp, capturing breathtaking views and soaking in the majestic atmosphere of the Himalayas. After your visit, drive back to Shigatse for overnight stay.

After breakfast, journey back to Lhasa along the Friendship Highway. Enjoy the awe-inspiring vistas of the Tibetan Plateau, high mountain passes, and traditional villages. Arrive in Lhasa by evening and spend your last night enjoying the peaceful ambiance of this sacred city.

Fly to Kathmandu Transfer to Gonggar Airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. As your spiritual and scenic journey through Tibet concludes, carry back unforgettable memories of Tibetan culture, towering peaks, and sacred sites.
